Notes: Levi Hewitt was a singleman, aged 46 when he was granted his Patent.
He was son of James, born in Rushden, and had earlier been in Northampton.
In 1847 he had a "sweet hart" so perhaps she sadly died as Levi never married.
He returned to open his shop at Higham Ferrers in 1848.
Listed in trade directories in 1854, 1860, 1862, and 1869 with a clock and watch shop in Higham Ferrers.
He died in 1871 and was buried on 10th January at Rushden.
