South End School Admissions
Introduction

Notes: Please be aware that some entries for High Street might be for High Street South. Several children left and were readmitted. Some re-admissions were given a new entry number, others merely "squeezed in", and some were written into the register using the original number in admission date order. Some were temporary absences, perhaps moved to live with other relatives, or away through illness, or parents had died and they lived with a guardian (G).
The 1889-1923 book has lots of notes added in tiny writing - not all are deciphered!
As with all transcripts, it is prudent always to check the original record. The admissions books are deposited at Northamptonshire Record Office, and microfiche copies are available at Rushden Library, and at the schools.
