Report of H M Inspector Mr Monroe received on December 8th 1910

This is a very pleasing school in general.  The little ones are alert and interested in their duties.  The highest class is not in an advanced state of preparation probably owing to the recent prevalence of epidemics.  Evidently more time should be devoted to the Reading which needs improvement all round and the teacher should if possible find more time for the elementary work in the class.

Copy of H M Inspector’s report received on December 6th 1911

The discipline is very good and the children are kindly managed and show eager interest in their work.

In the two upper classes the teaching is intelligent varied and interesting and the children do their hand work with care and precision but in the oral work though the tone is good there is a tendency to place too much reliance on the better portion of the class and the class as a whole is insufficiently stimulated to effort.

The teacher of the Babies is well qualified for her work in her manner and in her treatment of the little ones but she has to acquire the art of controlling their restlessness which in a large measure nullifies her efforts.

                                                          J T Colson
                                                          Chairman of Managers

21 Dec

The school closes today at 3.45 for the Christmas vacation and re-opens on Monday Jan 8th.
