It was in September 1964 that my very dear friend, the late Susan Hollowell and myself opened what we believe to be one, of the first Children's Nurseries in Newton Road, Rushden. The Nursery changed location in 1968, moving to a custom built premises at Manor Farm in Newton Road, where up to this day it is still going from strength to strength. It is a family business (which I believe is unique) that is now being run by my daughter-in-law, and my grand-daughter Annabel who is supervisor, plus loyal staff. After 40 years I’ve now taken a back seat role.
