Fire at Manor Farm 1952


Rushden Echo & Argus 15th August 1952

30-hour Farm Fire

Fire destroyed more than 150 tons of hay and several tons of wheat stored in a dutch barn at Manor Farm, Bedford Road, Rushden, on Monday.

Rushden and Irthlingborough firemen were soon dealing with the outbreak, which started at 12.30 p.m., but it was not until 6 p.m. on Tuesday that the blaze was out.
