The business was established in 1894 at Riseley, Peter Fett. Later they opened a shop in Station Road, and later he bought a house and warehouse at 10 Wentworth Road, formerly Swindall's.

Peter opened a shop, formerly a florists shop of Yarde & Co, at 103 High Street, and where they sold fruit and vegetables called it "The Quick Turnover" .

His son Peter Fett took over and later his grandson, another Peter. He traded then under the name of M Jones & Sons.
