Draper
William Brown was born at Higham Ferrers in 1822, and lived in High Street there.

Drapery business—For sale the Fixtures and Stock-in-Trade of a Draper. The shop is well situated in the prosperous and rapidly increasing village of Rushden, and there are good facilities for the Millinery and Dress-Making portion of the business, which could be easily extended.

The advert above was found in a newspaper some years ago, then in 2023 we were given some pictures including a poster for the very same sale. It is in a delicate condition now, but we have been able to read the list of goods: -
