Quoted by EH Barrett in 1970 : Charlie is still living in Rushden, close by his old work place. Handicapped by Arthritis, he still manages to ride a bicycle, with the aid of a walking-stick. To people who see this for the first time, the spectacle causes amusement, as well as amazement!
