On Saturday 30th May 2015 another famous local name sadly closed its doors for the last time.

Kinloch's bakery was based at 44 Croyland Road in Wellingborough, but also had the shop in Rushden High Street at number 33, next door to Boots the chemist. This had previously been Crane's "Anglo Swiss Patisserie".

Baking was done at the Wellingborough premises, and the produce was transported over to the Rushden shop.

Robert, Tommy and Roger, the directors, had placed the business up for sale back in November 2014. There had been interested parties in taking it over, but hopes of signing contracts by the end of May 2015, were not met.

So the 45 years of providing high class baking have now come to an end, and the staff are moving on in other directions.

These are the shots of the ladies at Croyland road, they are Margaret, Lesley & Rachel, and are joined by Sally Graham & Tina Waltham at High Street, Rushden, both Tina & Sally had given 20 years service each.
