OLD BAPTIST YOUNG MEN'S CLASS.The opening soiree of the Young Men's Class was held on Wednesday evening, when there was a large attendance. The Rev. W. J. Tomkins presided, and the following programme was efficiently rendered.Pianoforte duet, Miss E. and A. Green; solo, Mr. T. T. Clarke; short reading, Mr. W. Nunley; solo, Miss Storey; violin solo, Master White; solo, Mr. G. Farey; recitation, Mr. G. Parkin; solo, Miss Farey; reading, Mr. J. Sargent ; solo, Mr. F. Corby; duet, Misses K. and F. Ashby; harp, Mr. A. Ashby; violin solo, Mr. Collins.
Refreshments were served at the close, and a very enjoyable evening was spent. The list of subjects for the ensuing session seems to be of more than ordinary interest.
