Nearly two years after his demobilisation, Mr. J. W. Fuller, a Wymington ex-soldier, has received a certificate recording a mention in despatches he received for distinguished service.
The award was published in the London Gazette of April 4th, 1946. Mr. Fuller lives at 28, Church Road, Wymington, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Fuller.
Now working at the Tecnic Boot Works, Rushden, as a welt sewer, he received the award when he was a lance-corporal in the Northamptonshire Regiment. An ex-Territorial, he served in Iceland and Germany, and twelve months after his demobilisation was joined in England by his German wife.
