ex-Flt. Lieut. Donald Braybrook

D.F.C. for Former Flier - Letter From The King
The Distinguished Flying Cross which he earned four years ago has just been received by ex-Flt. Lieut. Donald Braybrook, of Higham

The medal was accompanied by a letter from the King in which he said: "I greatly regret that I am unable to give you personally the award which you have so well earned. I now send it to you with my congratulations and my best wishes for your future happiness."

Mr. Braybrook, who lives with his wife and son at 2, High Street, is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Braybrook, of Higham Ferrers, and is a partner in the firm of E. W. Braybrook.

During his R.A.F. career he trained in Canada and served as a member of a Lancaster crew.

The D.F.C. was awarded in recognition of many successful operations in which he displayed high skill fortitude and devotion to duty.
