New Wymington Sailor Killed
Result of Action in Mediterranean

News that their second son, Able-Seaman Herbert Wright, R.N., has been killed as the result of a naval action in the Eastern Mediterranean, has reached Mr. and Mrs. S. Wright, of, 109 Rushden-road, New Wymington. Able-Seaman Wright who was 28, had been in the Navy for two and a half years, having volunteered for service, and had recently been serving on a cruiser. He was born at Wymington, attended the village school, and afterwards worked in the finishing department of Messrs. Green and Coe, of Rushden. Twelve months ago he married Miss Joan Minney, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Minney, of Queen-street, Wollaston.
He had seen much action during an important convoy to Malta prior to the Allies' African campaign.
Two other sons of Mr. and Mrs. Wright are in the Royal Artillery, one of them serving in the Middle East.
A daughter is in the Land Army.
