Officer’s Death From Wounds
Lieut. G.C.S. Pratt, only Son of Col. Pratt of Stanwick
A Relative of Mr. Sartoris of Rushden Hall
The death from wounds is reported of Lieut. Geoffrey Cowper Spencer Pratt, R.F.A., attached to the No.14 Anti Aircraft (Headquarters) Section. He was mortally wounded on November 26th when in action against the German aeroplanes by the bursting of a highly explosive shell close to his guns and died the next day.
Lieut. Pratt, who was 22 years of age was the only son of Col. A.S. Pratt C.B. R.F.A. and only grandson of Mr. Spencer Pratt of Stanwick House. He was educated at Eton and Oxford, and was sergeant in the Officers Training Corps at Oxford.
