Irchester Soldier Missing — Now presumed Dead
Mr and Mrs J George of Irchester have received a notification from the War Office that the death may now be presumed of their son 15292 Pte E George, of the Northants Regt., who has been missing since September 27th, 1915.

Pte E T George, of Irchester – Death Now Presumed
As stated briefly in last week’s “Rushden Echo” Mr and Mrs J George, of Townwell-lane, Irchester have had a communication from the War office, stating that no further news has been received of their son, Pte E T George, 15292 Northants Regt., who has been missing since Sept. 17th last year, and adding that his death must now be presumed to have taken place on or about that date. The late Pte George, who was 25 years of age, was not married. He worked at the C.W.S. boot factory, Rushden, before enlisting. As a boy he passed through the Wesleyan Sunday school at Irchester, and he was highly respected.
