The death occurred at 34 College-street, Higham Ferrers, on Tuesday morning, of Mr John Farrington, at the age of 87 years. Mr Farrington, who was a native of Winwick, had lived in Higham Ferrers for nearly 50 years. He had been in failing health for some time, and took to his bed last November.

He leaves a family of five daughters and two sons, his wife dying 41 years ago. One daughter lives at Rushden, three at Higham Ferrers and one in Canada. A son resides in Rushden and another in Higham Ferrers.

The funeral is at St Mary’s Parish Church, Higham Ferrers, at 2.30 on Saturday.
