Wymington Soldier Killed A Rushden Boot Employee
Private Frederick Clark
We regret to report that Mrs. F. Clark, of New Wymington, has received official news of the death in action of her husband, 48635 Pte. Fredk. Clark, of the Royal Fusiliers. The report is to the effect that he was killed in action on June 19th, place not stated.
The deceased soldier, who was 27 years of age, leaves a widow and two children to mourn their loss. The younger child is but five months old, and was only two weeks old when her father joined up.
The late Pte. Clark had only been in France about ten weeks when he got killed. Before enlistment he was employed by Messrs Green & Coe, boot manufacturers, Rushden.
