[obituary extract] Born at Northampton, 59 years ago,Mr Pearceycame to Higham Ferrers in 1896, to the firm of Messrs Easton and Knight, printers of Wood-street, whose premises are now demolished. In 1897, the “Rushden Echo” was founded, and for the first few weeks was set and printed at Messrs Easton and Knight’s premises, and Mr Pearcey printed the first copy.
