Court Reports - Stanwick

Northampton Mercury 5th December 1846, transcribed by Susan Manton.

Poaching John Flawn, Richard Flawn and Joseph Flawn, were charged with poaching in the parish of Stanwick. Mr. Thompson, who appeared for the defendant, succeeded in effecting the acquittal of the younger Flawn. The other two were fined 10s each.

Vaccination Prosecutions—At Thrapston police-court on Tuesday, before Colonel Stopford Sackville, M.P., and other justices.—Frederick Britton, farmer, Chelveston, Harry Simmons, shoehand, Chelveston, George Samuel Warford, shoehand, Stanwick, and Thomas Peer, shoehand, Stanwick, were summoned for neglecting to have their children vaccinated or applying for an exemption order.—Defendants were ordered to have their children vaccinated within 31 days and pay costs, 7s. 6d. each.
