The members of the Higham Town Band Club have purchased a handsome everlasting wreath for the grave of one of their late members, Mr Richard Houghton, who died at Rushden and was buried recently at Higham.

A Permanent Wreath has been placed by the Band Club on the grave of the late Mr Harry Stokes who was a member of the club. The wreath bears the following inscription:- “In deepest sympathy from the members of the Higham Ferrers Town Band Club.”

Cribbage – A match in connection with the Club Union Cribbage League was played on Monday night at the Band Club, the visitors being from Higham Athletic. The Band Club won by 28 – 27.

Dominoes – Higham Band Club and Rushden W.M.C. teams played at Rushden on Saturday for the possession of the “Old Fogey’s Cup.” The result was a draw of 15 – 15 and Higham, the holders, therefore retain possession.
