Gunner Killed Loss To Newton Bromshold

On Sunday morning the villagers of Newton Bromshold heard with great regret that L/Bdr. Richard King, R.A., had been killed in action on the Western Front. The only son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel King, Rectory Farm, he was 32 years of age and leaves a widow, his marriage to Miss Molly Tart, of Motherwell, Lanarkshire, having taken place in 1943. For many years he was a member of the Parish Church choir and also of the village Cricket Club. An old boy of Newton-road Council School. Rushden, he was employed by Bignells, Ltd., at the time of enlistment.
