In the Name of God Amen, I Amos Bell of Newton in the County of Northampton Grazier, Being in good health of Body, and of a sound and perfect Mind and Memory, praise be therefore Given to Almighty God for the same do Make and ordain this My present Last Will and Testament in Manner and form following, (that is to Say)

First and principally I Commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God, hoping through the Merits, Death and sapion [surely passion?] of My Saviour Jesus Christ, To have full and free pardon and forgiveness of All my Sins, and to Inherit Everlasting Life,

And my Body I Committ to the Earth to be decently buryed att the discretion of My Executor hereinafter Named,

And as Touching the disposition of all Such Temporal Estate as it hath Pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof as followeth.

First I will that all my Just Debts and funeral Charges Shall be paid and Discharged – Item I give unto My Grandson William Bell the Son of My Son Amos Bell the Sume of Ten pounds, To be paid unto him one year after My Decease,

Item I give unto My Grand Daughter Ann Bell the Daughter of My Son Amos Bell the Sume of Ten pounds to be paid unto her five years after my Decease,

Item I give unto my Grand Daughter Elizabeth Green the Daughter of My Daughter Mary green the Sume of Ten pounds to be paid unto her Two years after My Decease,

Item I give unto my Grandson Amos Green the Son of My Daughter Mary Green the Sume of Ten pounds, To be paid unto him three years after my Decease,

Item I give unto My Grand Daughter Mary Green the Daughter of My Daughter Mary Green the Sume of Ten pounds, To be paid unto her four years after My Decease,

Item I give unto My Grand Daughter Ann Green the Daughter of My Daughter Mary Green the Sume of Ten pounds to be paid unto her five years after My Decease,

Item I give unto My Grandson Edward Green, the Son of My Daughter Mary Green the Sume of Ten pounds to be paid unto him six years after My Decease. But if it shall and do happen that any of the Children of My Daughter Mary Green do depart this Natural Life before My Legacie shall become due, then My Will is that such their Legacie shall be paid unto My Daughter Mary Green Widow,

Item I give unto My Daughter Mary Harries [possibley Hames] Widow the Sume of five pounds, to be paid unto her one year after My Decease. But in Case she shall and do depart this Natural Life before her Legacie shall become due then My Will is that her Legacie of five pounds shall be given to my Daughter Mary Bell the Wife of My Son Amos Bell,

Item I give unto My Daughter Ann Warner the Wife of Samuel Warner one Guinea to be paid unto her one year after My Decease,

Item I give unto My Daughter Esther Goodman the Wife of William Goodman one Guinea to be paid unto her one year after My Decease,

Item all the rest and residue of My Goods and Chattels personall Estate of what kind or Nature soever as Horses and horsekind Cows and Cowkind Sheep and Sheepkind together with all my stock of Grain implements of Husbandry of which kind soever I give and bequeath unto My Loveing Son Amos Bell whom I appoint full and sole Executor of this My Last Will and Testament,

And I do Hereby revoke disannul [??] and Make Void All former Will, and Testament, by me heretofore Made, In Wittness hereof I the said Amos Bell the Testator To this my Last Will and Testament have sett My Hand and seal this Twentyeth day of July In the year of our Lord 1753.

Signed sealed published and Declared by the above named Amos Bell the Testator as used for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his desire and in his presence subscribed our Names as Wittnesses thereunto.
