George Bull

The Rushden Argus, Friday 5th May 1893, transcribed by Kay Collins

Funeral service.—On Sunday evening a special service was held in the Independent Wesleyan Chapel in memory of the late George Bull, who for a number of years was a member of the chapel, and also one of the choir members. The congregation was large, and a most impressive sermon was preached by the Rev. T. G. Harpur. Appropriate hymns were selected for the occasion including "Vital Spark," which was most feelingly rendered by the choir. An efficient string band attended, and played the "Dead March" in "Saul" during the offertory. The service throughout was most solemn and impressive.
