Caledonian Tradition at Waverley Hall
NEW YEAR celebrations were in traditional style at the Rushden and District Caledonian Society's dinner and dance at the Waverley Hall on Tuesday.
The evening opened with a dinner, at which a short speech was made by the president (Mr. R. Black), who was introduced to the company by the vice-president (Mr. V. Rhind).

The dances included Scottish, old time and modern styles, and after the singing of "A Guid New Year" and "Auld Lang Syne" at midnight, closed with an eightsome reel. Mr. L. C. Mitchell was M.C.
