"A S" Accordian Serenaders Band at St Peter's Schoolrooms L-r: Ron Smith, Ray Freer, Vera Peacock, ?, Alan Bathurst

The title was for a sextet, but only five? So we posed the question at first "Is one missing?" but the very same week this obituary came to hand - does it solve the puzzle? Perhaps Alan and Gordon stood in for each other from time to time. If so we still need another player - who knows - we might get another clue next week! Then there is still one name to find for the un-named accordian player in the picture.

BUT according to Gordon Meadow's obituary he sometimes played with the 'Accordian Serenaders' so was the sextet title on the photograph just a mistake?
