Every year the Mission Band played at Newton Blomswold's Garden Party. I think this began in the early 1980's when Mr Ray Clarke was the conductor. It was originally held on Mrs Harris's property and the nearby paddock and later moved to the green opposite Jenny Burt's property. There is a flower show in the church, a children's fancy dress competition, various stalls, refreshments and many other attractions. Mr Clark died in 1991, Tony Boddington became conductor and the following photographs were taken after 1997 by one of the many supporters.
