ST. MARY'S HARMONIC SOCIETY—The first social gathering of this society very successfully took place on the 19th inst. Coffee and light refreshments having been handed round, the members thoroughly enjoyed the following programme:—
Polka; song, Miss May Packwood; song, Mr. G. H. Jaques; game, "Musical chairs"; humourous song, Mr. Massom; recitation, Mr. J. C. Stevens; quadrilles; song, Miss Ada Massom; conundrums; laughable tale, the president, Rev. C. J. Gordon ; game, "Trencher"; humourous song, Mr. J. C. Stevens; schottische; song, Mr. S. Bailey; lancers; song, Mr. Sedgman; game, "My friend's seat"; polka; Sir Roger-de-Coverley. Three hearty cheers expressed the Thanks of the company to the society's conductor, Mr. J. E. Smith, who very kindly acted as pianist throughout, and thus ended a capital evening.
