Retired John is back at work
A FORMER curate in Rushen has moved back to the town for his retirement but is already back in the pulpit.
The Rev John Boatright was curate at St Mary's in the 40s and early 50s and is now living at Ravensbank, Rushden, after retiring from full time ministry.
On Sunday John, right, was back in his old church — preaching at the morning service and leading evening prayer.
He said; "You never retire completely. I was very pleased to be asked back to speak at the service and I am hoping to be of help in the area."
