Chapel OpenedA united service was held in the new cemetery chapel on Sunday which was opened by Mr. A. Camozzi, J.P., chairman of the Urban Council. Before the opening the Vicar (the Rev. A. Brown) led prayer and the Rev. S. Haukin-Hardy (Wesleyan) read a passage of Scripture. At the service inside the chapel the two ministers took part, assisted by the Rev. A. Fawcett (Primitive Methodist), and Mr. Smith (Baptist). The Temperance Band accompanied the hymns. Mr. W. F. Corby, C.C., (Clerk of the Council), and Mr. F. W. Blackmore (Surveyor) and Dr. McInnes (Medical Officer) were among those present.
