51 Years Service in Higham Wesleyan Sunday School
Sunday last being the Children’s Day at Higham Ferrers Wesleyan Church, appropriate sermons were preached by the Rev. C. Borman. After an address to the children in the afternoon a very interesting ceremony took place, when the Rev. C. Borman, on behalf of the present teachers and scholars, presented Mr. Alfred Middleton with an enlarged photograph of himself as a slight recognition of his services as teacher and superintendent of the Wesleyan Sunday School for the past 51 years. (This will eventually be hung in the Schoolrooms. Mr. John Clark (Rushden) an old scholar, gave a few reminiscences of the old schooldays at Higham.
