THOUGH he was mentioned in dispatches at the time of the New Year Honours List, Mr. Eric Roe, of 36, Park-avenue, Rushden, has only just heard of it. He served in the R.A.F. for five years and was in Italy as an Operations Officer from June 1944 to November 1945. Before the war Mr. Roe was well-known as secretary of the Rushden and District Query Motor Club. He was demobilised last November and is now with his father, Coun. James Roe. C. C., in the business of Roe Bros., drapers. |
