Rushden Soldier Killed
Two days before his 21st birthday, L/Cpl. Eric James Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Wilson, of 127, Irchester-road, Rushden, was killed while serving in Italy.
After attending Rushden Intermediate School, L/Cpl. Wilson worked for Messrs. Putnam and Sons, grocers. Joining the Army in July, 1942, he served in the Northamptonshire Regiment and was sent abroad in July 1943. He is engaged to Miss Betty Pack, of 20, North-end, Higham Ferrers.
