Horace George Warren was born 25th July 1879 and baptised at Twywell on 1st August 1880, son of Charles & Susanna Warren. 1891 Census living at Finedon with his sister Alice and her husband Harry Beetson. He enlisted at Rushden. Died at Holnon Wood. |

Rushden's Casualty List
Unofficial news has reached Rushden, that several more men have fallen in action: Ptes Elmer of 145 Queen street, Rushden; Warren, of Portland road; and T Bridgford, brother of Mrs Burfield of 141 Queen street, but up to the present there is no official confirmation of the distressing intelligence.

Rushden’s Casualty List
34472, Pte. Horace Warren, of the Norfolk Regiment, husband of Mrs Warren, of 67, Portland-road, Rushden, is reported by a comrade to have been killed in action. The late Pte. Warren was 39 years of age, and joined the Colours twelve months ago, going to France in April last. For 17 years he had worked for Messrs John Cave and Sons Ltd., boot manufacturers, Rushden. He leaves a widow and an adopted niece to mourn their loss. Official news of Pte. Warren’s death was received yesterday.
