Born 29th January 1898 and enlisted at Rushden on 25th November 1915.

He had a brother Amos and sister Violet, and a half-brother Frank Hensman. His father had remarried to Elizabeth Hensman.

Rushden Victim of the War Private Frederick John Page Makes Supreme Sacrifice

We regret to report that Mr and Mrs Fredk Page, of 92 Wellingborough-road, Rushden, have received official news of the death in action on October 26th, of their eldest son, 27993, Pte Frederick John Page, of the East Yorks. The deceased soldier, who was 19 years of age, enlisted about twelve months ago, on being selected for a draft for France, he was transferred to the East Yorks. It was in January last when he first went into the trenches, and in July was in hospital for a time with an inflamed ankle. He was discharged from hospital on August 5th, and returned to the firing line.

Before joining up, the late Pte Page was employed by Messrs. Robinson Bros., boot manufacturers, Rushden. As a lad he passed through the Park-road Baptist Sunday school, and at one time was a member of the gymnastic club in connection with that place of worship.
