Rushden Recruits
Mr G Noble, eldest son of Mr J Noble, of London, Ontario, Canada, late of Rushden, has enlisted in the 135th Middlesex Battalion, Canadian Regt. Two other sons are serving in the 10th Battalion, Canadian Regt, also a son-in-law, Mr R Swindall, in the Canadian Medical Corps. The other son of Mr Noble has enrolled in his group under Lord Derby's scheme.

News has been received that Pte. G. Noble, 802046 1st Canadian Regiment, has been wounded in the left leg and thigh, and is in the 7th Convalescent Depot, France. He is the eldest son of Mr. J. Noble, London, Ontario, and late of Rushden.

Official news has been received that Pte George Noble, 802046, 1st Canadian Regiment, was killed on October 21st. He was the eldest son of Mr John Noble, of London, Ontario, Canada, and late of Rushden, and brother to Mr Fred Noble, of Moor road, Rushden. Deceased had previously been wounded in the thigh and leg, and had another narrow escape by having his kit blown off his back, but at the time he escaped with a bruised back. One other brother is serving with the Canadians in France, the other two brothers having been discharged.
