Rushden’s Casualty List
Pte. Reginald Knight, son of Mr and Mrs Knight, of Milton, Portsmouth, formerly of Brookfield-road, Rushden, has died of wounds in hospital in France. It is about five years since that Mr and Mrs Knight left Rushden for Portsmouth. Mrs. Knight was a well-known member of the Rushden Nursing Sisters, and since her removal to the south she has continued her excellent work in this respect, and during the war has been rendering great help in the hospitals. Mr. and Mrs. Knight were in Rushden only a fortnight ago, with their daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Clark (who is living with them while her husband is with the Naval Forces). The late Pte. Knight was about 19 years of age. Mr and Mrs J. Paragreen, of Rushden, have received a letter from their son, Herbert, of the S.B.R., stating that he paid a visit to the Knight’s and found them in great trouble over the death of their son. |

KNIGHT - In loving memory of our dear brother Pte Reg Knight, 34355, 2/4th Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry, who died of wounds April 29th, 1918 at the 39th Stationary Hospital, Aive, France, aged 18 years and 10 months, only son of Mr and Mrs J Knight, Milton Market, Portsmouth, formerly of 22 Brookfield-road, Rushden.
Loved by all who knew him.
His comrades called him brother.
