Presumed Killed

In view of the lapse of time and absence of any further information, the death of Sergeant Howard Matthew Kent, R.A.F., of Rushden, is now presumed to have occurred on May 10th, 1944. Sergeant Kent was the eldest son of Mrs. E. Willmott, of 28, Harborough-road, Rushden. Aged 23, he had been employed by Messrs. Meadows Bros., hairdressers, since leaving the Rushden Intermediate School, up to his call-up in October, 1941. He was a member of the Home Guard.

Sergeant Kent was a wireless operator and air gunner, and had completed 32 bombing and 12 pathfinding flights.
