Rushden Soldier's Death - Private Henry Kennell Succumbs to Heart Disease
Official notice has been received by Mrs Kennell, of 50, Washbrook-road, Rushden, that her husband, 30050, Pte Henry Kennell, of the Royal Inniskilling Rifles, serving with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force, died at Alexandria on March 3rd.
The deceased soldier, who leaves a widow and two little children, worked for Messrs. Sanders and Sanders, boot manufacturers, Rushden, before joining the colours in July, 1916. At Christmas, 1916 he went to Salonika. Last November, he was sent to Egypt, and has been in hospital nearly the whole of that time. A month or two ago he wrote to his wife to say that he was coming home, but unhappily, the illness from which he was suffering proved fatal. Death is officially stated as heart disease. The late Pte Kennell was 39 years of age.

Rushden Soldier's Death
Official news has been received that Private Henry Kennell, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, has passed away in Egypt from heart disease. He was the son of Mrs Kennell, of 50, Washbrook-road, Rushden, and leaves a widow and two small children. He joined up in 1915, and was 39 years of age.
