Young Rushden Marine Killed - Bugler who was Serving in Middle East

A former member of the Rushden Adult School F.C., Bugler Lawrence Jack Ingall, who had been serving with the Royal Marines on board ship in the Middle East has been killed on service, states a message received on Monday morning.

Bugler Ingall was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ingall of 3 Boundary-avenue, Rushden and joined the Marines twelve months last October from the factory of Messrs. Allebone and Sons Ltd., where he was employed as a tacker.

Aged 19, he came with his parents from Brighton about six years ago, and attended the Alfred-street School. He afterwards worked at the C.W.S. boot factory and became a member of the Park-road Baptist Church and the Y.M.C.A. He was also interested in swimming.

Mr. and Mrs. Ingall have three other sons and two daughters.
