Rushden Trooper Dies From Wounds

Trooper Paul Reginald Robert Hooton, Royal Tank Regiment, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Hooton, of 21, Tennyson-road, Rushden, is officially reported to have died from wounds in Southern Tunisia in April. He was 20 years of age, and a native of Rushden. After schooldays at Alfred-street he worked at the C.W.S. boot factory and then for Messrs. Gee, Walker and Slater. He was a member of the Athletic Club and had a Sunday newspaper round.

The bereaved parents, who received the sad news on Thursday afternoon, have a younger son, O/T Gordon D. Hooton, who is in the Navy.

Trooper Paul Reginald Robert Hooton, Royal Tank Regiment, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. F.
