Rushden Soldier Dead - Lance-Corpl Hill's Sad End - Official Intimation
Mrs Hill, 13 Succoth-place, has received official intimation that her husband, Lance-Corpl E Hill, 1872, 4th Northants Regiment has died of wounds at the Dardenelles. Lance-Corpl Hill joined the Territorial Force two years ago and was called up at the beginning of the war. Before being called up he worked for at Messrs John Cave and Sons; shoe factory. Deceased was 30 years of age.

Rushden Men who Fought and Bled
We are sorry to learn of the death of Lance-Corpl E. Hill of Succoth-place. He was in the 4th Northants Regiment in the Dardanelles, and got his wound which proved fatal on September 26th. He landed on August 15th at Gallipoli, and would have reached his 31st birthday on Tuesday.

The late Pte Frank Reginald Charles, Northants Regt., of 19 Co-operative row, Rushden, who died of wounds in France on August 2nd, 1916.
The late Pte Ernest Hill, Northants Regt., of 20, Co-operative row, Rushden, who died of wounds on Sept. 26th, 1915, and was buried at sea.
