The Full Price - Rushden Soldier Killed in North Africa

The death in action of Pte. Francis Cedric Green, formerly of Rushden, whose wife resides at 10, Wentworth-road, Finedon, is reported by the Army Record Office.

Pte. Green lost his life on March 28th, when serving with the Duke of Wellington’s Regiment in North Africa. Aged 24 years, he was the third son of the late Mr. Harry Green, of 8, Ealing-terrace, Rushden, and before joining the Army was employed by Messrs. Eaton and Co. (Rushden), Ltd., boot manufacturers. He was married four years ago, and leaves a widow, two children, six sisters and three brothers, one of whom is in the R.A.F.
