Another Rushden Man Missing
News is wanted by Mrs. Dorks, of 6, South-terrace, Rushden, of her son, 9583 Private Fred Dorks, of the “C” Company, 1st Northants Regiment. The last letter received from him was dated May 7th, and from the War Office now comes the news that he has been missing since May 9th. If any soldier knows anything concerning Private Dorks, will he kindly let Mrs. Dorks know?

Rushden Soldier Victim - The Aubers Ridge Battle
Private Fred Dorks - Missing Since May 9th - Now Officially Reported Killed
Pte Fred Dorks (Rushden), C Company, list Northamptons, who has been reported missing since the battle of Aubers Ridge on May 9th, is now officially reported killed.
Deceased's mother, Mrs Dorks, who lives at 6 South-terrace, Rushden, received notice from the War Office last June that her son was missing after the engagement of May 9th, and no further news could be gleaned until the present week, when an official intimation reached Mrs Dorks that her son had been killed.

Worst Fears Confirmed - Missing Rushden Man Reported Killed
We regret to report that Mrs Dorkes of 6 South-terrace, Rushden, has now received official intimation that her son Pte. Fred Dorkes of 'C' Co. 1st Northants Regiment, was killed on May 9th at the Aubers Ridge battle. The relatives received notice that he was 'missing' during June, and only now have their worst fears been confirmed.
