Rushden Soldier Missing of the Royal Fusiliers
Pte Charles Henry Clark, 49081, 10th Platoon, C Company, Royal Fusiliers, Machine Gun Section, BEF, France, has been officially reported wounded and missing from September 20th 1917. Pte Clark, who is the son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Clark, of 48 Sartoris road, Rushden, was employed in the finishing room at Messrs. Eaton's boot factory at Rushden before enlisting. He was a member of the Rushden Church Lads' Brigade for a time, and afterwards one of the Boy Scouts. His parents would be grateful for any news of their son. [repeated on 8, 15, 22 Feb, 1, 8 March]
