Rushden Soldier’s Death
While training at a military camp in Lincolnshire, Pte. Lance Stanley Campion (32), of 95, Westfield-avenue, Rushden, suddenly collapsed and died on Thursday last. Three weeks previously he was admitted to hospital with concussion received during a game of football, and he was discharged from there a week before his death. A native of Rushden, Private Campion joined the Army in July, 1941, having been employed by Messrs. Eaton and Co., Irchester-road, Rushden. He leaves a widow.
The funeral is to take place at Rushden Cemetery to-morrow (Wednesday), and the service will be conducted by the Rector (Rev. E. A. Green).
