Rushden’s Casualty List

We regret to report that Mr and Mrs Stephen Wilson, of 166, Cromwell-road, Rushden, have received official news that their youngest son, A.B. Cyril Frank Wilson, Royal Naval Division, was killed in action on August 25th.  The late A.B. Wilson, who was 19 years of age, joined the Colours on September 4th, 1917, and went to France in March this year.  He was formerly employed by William Green and Sons, boot manufacturers, Rushden.  Much sympathy is felt with Mr and Mrs Wilson in their bereavement, especially as this is the second son of theirs who has given his life for his King and country.  The other son, the late Pte. Reginald Wilson, Northants Regiment, was killed in action on May 9th, 1915, as report in the “Rushden Echo” at the time.  Yet another son of Mr and Mrs Wilson, viz., Driver Stephen Sydney Wilson, R.F.A., is serving his country in France.
