Four of the five sons of Mr T. H. L. Denny, of 53, Oakley-road, Rushden, are now in the Forces. The quartette was made up when John Kenneth Denny joined up as Rifleman in the K.R.R.C. in March.
In order of length of service they are as follows:—
Bombardier Raymond Denny, R.A. (32), called up just before the out¬break of war, captured in France and a German prisoner for four years; formerly worked for Messrs. John White. Ltd. His wife resides at 17, St. Peters-avenue.
LA.C. Donald Victor Denny (23), in the R.A.F. for nearly four years; used to work at the Tecnic Boot Co. His wife and daughter reside at 8a, Albion-place.
OS Frank Richard Denny, Royal Navy (37), over 12 months' service in the Mediterranean and elsewhere. He worked for Messrs. A. Sanders, Ltd., and did a spell in the N.F.S. His wife and daughter live at "Denmar," Talbot-road.
John, nearly 18 years of age, used to work for Messrs. Bignells, Ltd., played tor local football teams, and was a Boy Scout attached to the Mission Church.
To add to this record of there is a son-in-law in the Tank Corps, one in the R.A.F. and another in the Home Guard.
