Rushden Trio Serving in Coldstream Guards
Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Cross, of “Elbrita,” Hall-avenue, Rushden, have three sons serving in the Coldstream Guards. These are Sergt. Albert Cross (25), Corpl. Cyril Cross (21), and Recruit William Cross (17¾).

Sergt. Cross is a “veteran” with five years’ service to his credit, and when he was wounded in Belgium in 1940 became Rushden’s first Army casualty. He used to belong to the Adult School Male Voice Choir. Corpl. Cross has been in the Army for three years and in the Guards for two, and Recruit Cross, who joined last month, was formerly a member of the A.T.C. All are serving in England.

Before joining the Army the three brothers all worked in the factories of Messrs. John White, Ltd., where their father also in employed.
