John Warrington’s address was Rushden, but he does not appear on the town memorial. His parents, Samuel and Lucy Maria, had recently arrived here.

John's father had retired from the Huntingdonshire police force. The family left Ramsey when Samuel bought a smallholding in Avenue road, part of the Court Estate, in about 1914.
