The R.A.M.C. (1/2nd Welsh Ambulance) Male Voice Party of Cardiff now stationed at Rushden gave a fine concert in the Co-operative Hall on Monday to the members of the Rushden Co-operative Society. Pte. T. Jones conducted, and a good audience listened to an attractive programme, consisting of pianoforte solos by Corpl. Siese and Pte. Johnson, part songs by the choir, solos by Signaller H. James (an Eisteddfod winner), Privates Probert and Brian, recitations by Pte. R. Williams, and a quartette by Pte. W. Thomas, Pte. A. Brian, Pte. T. Jones, and Signaller James, and solo and chorus “Land of my fathers,” Pte. Jones and choir. The accompaniments were played by Corpl. Siese, and Major H. Samuel took the chair. At the conclusion of the programme, thanks were accorded the artistes.
